Zama Secures $57M Series B Funding to Pioneer FHE Encryption for Public Blockchains
Zama, an open-source cryptography firm specializing in Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), has raised $57 million in a Series B round led by Blockchange Ventures and Pantera Capital. The funding propels Zama to unicorn status with a $1 billion valuation, marking a watershed moment for privacy-focused blockchain infrastructure.
The capital will accelerate the launch of Zama's Confidential Blockchain Protocol testnet in July 2025, with ambitions to scale fintech applications to thousands of transactions per second. "Reaching this valuation reflects market confidence in our ability to deliver compliant, confidential on-chain finance," said CEO Dr. Rand Hindi, underscoring the growing demand for privacy-preserving DeFi solutions.
